Planning, planning, planning!

I can't believe it has been so long since I last posted something.  It is amazing how fast a month can go by.  Last summer when I planned out our school year, I decided we would not do school from Thanksgiving to Christmas.  I am so glad that I did that!  We did do reading and a little math, but I can't imagine how I would have been able to do everything.  We did a bunch of Christmas crafts, read Christmas books, and watched way too many Christmas movies.  It was great!  But I'm kind of glad it's over.  I'm ready for life to settle down a bit (yeah right!), and to actually be able to have a schedule again. 

Another fabulous thing that I did was not plan anything for this week so that I could plan out the rest of the school year.  I have been figuring out our themes for the next four months and just filling in my planner for math, science, art and geography.  For phonics and reading we just do as much or as little as time allows.   I'm very excited to get started again!
