My little E started preschool last week! He was very excited to start school, and so far he has been really engaged and has loved being involved in what K and I are doing. I only have him doing a few things, since he can probably only handle so much.
We are doing
Abeka Numbers & Skills, a
Letter of the Week curriculum, and a couple of different workbooks. I love the Letter of the Week curriculum! I wish I had found this to use with K, because she would have loved it. Well, she does love it actually (I let her do all of the craft projects too). It is so hands on and pretty. I don't think E cares so much about that, but K and I appreciate it!
The Abeka book is basically just coloring, which isn't his favorite thing to do but he will color in a section here and there. I bought him some sticker workbooks, and he loves these so far. They are the
Usborne First Sticker books 123
and
ABC
. They are easy and hands on which is perfect for his age. The other workbook is
Preschool Scholar: Ages 3 -5
, which I basically have just used as filler when I need him to be doing something while I'm working with K. I have lots of puzzles and little activities for him to do during school time as well, so that he can be in the room with us without distracting his sister. It has worked most of the time. ;)
I love the letter of the week as do my kids =)
