Cooking

I have been wanting to do more cooking with the kids, and today a perfect opportunity presented itself.  I needed to make dessert for our church group tonight, and K was begging to help before we even arrived home from the store.   The theme for tonight is Fall foods, which is actually kind of depressing since it is supposed to be 108 degrees today.  Yuck!   I wanted to make something pumpkiny, and luckily I found some at Target.  Apparently most grocery stores are out because of a pumpkin shortage.   Sad!

I decided on Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins.  These are pretty easy, and so so so good!   I had never let both kids help me at the same time before, and it went pretty well when they weren't arguing about whose turn it was.  I guess it is nice that they both really want to help.

And while I was on the phone a little later, E decided to try a few when I wasn't looking.
