Last week became a bit extended, but we got everything done! Our new schedule is working much better for us, and I think every week will prove to be easier.
Math
K did five lessons in her Singapore Earlybird Kindergarten Math B textbook. The lessons covered addition and subtraction.
Language Arts
Again we have cut out the Ordinary Parents Guide. K just hates it, and since I don't want her to begin to hate reading I am just going to stop using it indefinitely. We are using Explode the Code, and in a week we will start All About Spelling. I think that is enough, along with reading practice. This week we did 6 pages in ETC 1, read a few BOB books, and did 2 pages in Zaner-Bloser Handwriting K.
Science
We read about rain forests, grasslands, and oceans in the Usborne Children's Encyclopedia this week. K did the Sonlight Science K worksheet that went along with the reading. We also finished up Tadpoles & Frogs
Geography
China
Theme
Birds
K did 3 pages for Developing the Early Learner 2, and made this cute duck from Abeka Art Projects 1.
you could totally put your ducky-art on my new Wall of Art Wednesday meme!
