I just asked K what her favorite book was, even though I knew what the answer would be. Fairy books! She loves the Scholastic Rainbow Fairies series by Daisy Meadows. We read one to three chapters every night before bed, and she always wants more. Luckily, there are tons of these books, and there seems to be a new one that comes out every month or so. I don't know what will happen when we run out, but I'm guessing we will read them again. I asked her why she likes them so much, and she said "I love fairies and girly things!" They are very cute books, and a good introduction to chapter books for little girls. They also just came out with a couple readers this year, so she can even read those herself. Below are a few of our favorites...
hooray for fairies! I have 2 boys here - so it's always adventure and I get to see the occassional fairy or princess get rescued! =)

My daughter loved the fairy type books when she was little. But I no longer have a little girl. She's all of well, almost 17 now and I don't think I'm going to try to push them on my sons. LOL! But don't you love it when they fall in love with books? It makes reading so much more fun.
