Learning Letters

After Christmas, I plan to start doing a letter each week for Tot School.  I have already been collecting ideas and deciding how I want to go about doing this.  I tried to do the Letter of the Week thing with K, but it failed partly because I was pregnant and because K already knew her letters.  She was not all that interested.  I am going to start earlier with E and hopefully he will be into it.

I am using Microsoft OneNote to store all of my ideas and information.  I made a notebook with 27 pages, one for each letter and then one page for ideas that I know I will do with each letter.  I love this program!  I wish I had found it earlier.  It is great for organizing information and ideas from all over the web, because you can copy anything and it automatically links it to where you copied it from.   I used to just bookmark everything, and it became a big mess.

I have found so many AMAZING resources out there in the homeschool blog world.  I will be using ideas from Confessions of a HomeschoolerHomeschool Creations, 1+1+1=1, Totally Tots and probably others that I haven't found yet.  I also have Fun with the Alphabet by Evan Moor and Storytime From A to Z by The Mailbox that I will pull ideas from.  Basically there is enough info on my OneNote pages to do each letter for a month!  I am excited to get started. :)
